As we have discussed, your return for a follow-up exam is extremely important, and you are 100% obligated to return for a sonogram to make sure the abortion has been done completely.
As you are aware this follow-up visit is free of charge, and cannot be ignored. If the pregnancy continues there is danger to the fetus and to your health, because an incomplete abortion can cause serious infections, and some life threatening situation such as major bleeding problems, that could be extremely difficult to treat if the process has been established.
